A joint venture with Limagrain Céréales Ingrédients and Bpifrance, dedicated to the industrialization of plastic biodegradation solutions.

2019 – Launch of the Packaging Consortium
Alongside L’Oréal, Nestlé Waters, PepsiCo, and Suntory Beverage & Food Europe, Carbios brings together leading players in cosmetics and the food & beverage industry to accelerate PET packaging circularity.

2020 – Creation of PoPlaB with INSA Toulouse
The PoPlaB (Polymer Plastic Lab) becomes a leading research center.

2021 – Inauguration of the Industrial Demonstration Plant
Commissioning of our industrial PET biorecycling demonstration plant in Clermont-Ferrand, validating the technical and economic feasibility of our process at scale.
First food-grade bottles produced from enzymatically biorecycled PET. -
2022 – Launch of the Textile Consortium
Created with On, Patagonia, PUMA, PVH Corp., and Salomon, this consortium demonstrates the feasibility of “fiber-to-fiber” recycling and the application of our technology to the textile sector.

Carbios becomes part of a global community of companies using business as a force for good.

2025 – First commercial contracts
Carbios signs its first multi-year commercial agreements for biorecycled PET.

2025 – Strategic partnership with Wankai New Materials (ZHINK Group)
Carbios signs a definitive agreement with Wankai New Materials to deploy its PET biorecycling technology at scale in Asia, starting with the construction of a first plant in China (50,000 tons capacity).
